Looking to eat at Figurati, Southampton?

The newest fine dining Italian restaurant, Figurati, moored up at Ocean Village in Southampton in July 2022. An independent restaurant co-owned by local entrepreneurs, Richard Gilbert and Chris Schutrups, it’s the Southampton eatery to be seen at!

Simple yet stunning interiors match the equally stunning location, with floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking the yacht filled marina. Contemporary and stylish is the vibe the restaurant is going for and I think they’ve achieved it in abundance.

We have eaten here on three occasions and each time we have been greeted by a super-friendly front of house who have shown us to our pre-booked table. Each meal that we have had here has been totally delicious and the portion sizes very generous!

We’ve visited for a Thursday lunch, Friday night and a Sunday lunch.

Being a creature of habit, the Thursday and Friday meals were pretty much a carbon copy of each other – arancini balls and garlic bread to share as starters and slow cooked beef lasagne for main. Friday evening did see me leave space for a dessert and I had to opt for the signature pud – the Figurati Rocher. I’m pleased to report it didn’t disappoint!

If I had to pick the best meal of all I’d probably steer towards the Sunday lunch as you get treated to a live acoustic singer serenading you as you devour your roasties. Having said that, I did feel the atmosphere and surroundings didn’t quite match up with each other. I find a roast in a cosy pub is more of a fitting venue!

The kids approved of their chicken roasts, as I did the beef, but the piece de resistance for them was the strawberry and chocolate topped ‘pizza’ which we were able to take away for their dessert.
