Things you shouldn’t forget whilst wedding planning
Congratulations on your engagement! Becoming engaged is exciting, but you have a whole range of planning and lists to work through before your wedding can go off without a hitch. Getting hitched without a hitch is not the easiest thing to do, but as long as there’s some level of organisation you should be good. I mean, if I can do it – you definitely can!
From checking out the wedding photographer and remembering to write down their name, making sure that you have included a guestbook and favours, you need to ensure that you don’t forget anything while you are planning.
Enjoy it.
Bet you didn’t see that one coming! The first thing that you should do when you become engaged is to enjoy being engaged. It takes a minute to sort of realize that you are now going to get married and walk down the aisle and have one of the best and most memorable days of your life. And under all of the weight of the wedding planning you’re about to go through, it’s likely you’re going to forget the fact that you’ve just been proposed to. Somebody wants to spend their entire life with you – that’s romantic and wonderful and can be like affirming for some people. Enjoy this moment.
Don’t forget the marriage.
For all of the wedding planning and bits of stress that’s around the corner, you need to remember that after the wedding comes the marriage. You can’t plan for a marriage, you just hope things go well! If you’re young when you are getting married, you’re going to grow together and you’re going to learn to be in each other’s company in a way like nothing else. If you’re older when you get married, chances are very high that you are going to know what you want and hopefully you reach this point because you really do love that person. Don’t lose sight of the marriage ahead in all of the wedding fanfare.
Don’t forget to have fun.
This day is your wedding day. Your wedding day. This is the day you’re supposed to smile and dance and laugh and it’s a day that’s all about you and your love as a couple. It’s going to be a heck of a journey to get down the aisle and get to the altar and all you’ll be able to do is breathe a sigh of relief when it’s all finished. But just remember the food and the people and the laughter and the music – it’s all for you guys. Want to take a peak int our wedding day? Click here!
